     HISTOLOGY

Once introduced in the organism, META<>CRILL®, like any other foreign body, triggers a series of successive events in which different types of cells communicate with one another, through chemical mediators. Macrophages, being incapable of phagocytizing the large and smooth spheres, reunite in gigantocytes that involve sphere by sphere, already at the end of the second week. The polymethilmetacrilate micro spheres are then definitely fixed at the site.

Later, elastic and collagen fibers appear which will promote the improvement of the texture of the skin under which the META<>CRILL® has been placed. There is an increase in the number of blood vessels, improving the local condition of tissues.

This process, as mentioned previously, begins almost immediately after the implant and takes months to end.
